Try Unique Cheatham is a mixed media artist whose practice refuses to be contained by a single medium or moment. Working across illustration, painting, digital design, collage, and large-scale murals, Try Unique builds worlds that feel simultaneously ancient and not-yet-invented.

Born and raised with a deep curiosity about the space between the real and the imagined, Try Unique began making art as a way of answering questions that language couldn't hold. Early sketchbooks were filled with impossible architectures, figures dissolving into color fields, and landscapes that obeyed their own physics.

Over the years, that curiosity evolved into a full practice spanning intimate studio works and monumental public murals. Whether working at the scale of a postcard or a building, the core impulse remains the same: to make something that didn't exist before, and to make it feel inevitable.

Try Unique's work has been commissioned for public spaces, galleries, editorial projects, and private collections. Commissions are open — every collaboration is treated as a genuine creative partnership.

Creative Philosophy

"Every medium is a different language. I'm fluent in all of them — and still learning."

Medium as Message

The choice of material is never neutral. Paint behaves differently than pixels, and collage carries the memory of every surface it borrows from. Each medium brings its own logic to the work.

Worlds, Not Illustrations

The goal is never to depict something that already exists. The work should feel like a place you could step into — with its own rules, its own weather, its own time.

Scale as Intention

A small work demands intimacy. A mural demands presence. The size of a piece is part of its meaning — not a practical decision but an artistic one.
